Angie Dickinson Story by Jay Kernis,
CBS-TV Sunday Morning Show

Thanks to the ever kind and talented producer of the CBS-TV Sunday Morning Show, Jay Kernis -
(Jay in above photo with CBS Sunday Morning Anchor Jane Pauley) -
for providing the below special Rat Pack story featuring the lovely actress, Angie Dickinson.

In 2019, correspondent Mo Rocca and I visited the LA home of actor Angie Dickinson. We set up in her den, which featured a life-size cardboard cutout of one of Angie's former loves, Frank Sinatra.
Here is a section from an early draft of our script:
IN 1960: SHE APPEARED IN OCEAN'S 11 WITH DEAN MARTIN, SAMMY DAVIS JUNIOR, PETER LAWFORD, JOEY BISHOP AND HER OLD FRIEND, FRANK SINATRA.

MO ROCCA: What was it like dating Frank Sinatra?
ANGIE DICKINSON: Well, it was wonderful. (Laughs) // We had a long relationship. //But what was it like? It was an adventure. // We got very close to getting married in 1964.
BUT ACTRESSES GET UP EARLY TO GO TO THE STUDIO, AND MEMBERS OF THE RAT PACK STAY UP ALL NIGHT.
ANGIE DICKINSON: So I didn't want him to ask me to marry him. 'Cause I didn't wanna say no to Frank Sinatra. (laugh) And fortunately he dropped it..
MO ROCCA: So we should point out that we didn't bring this cardboard cutout with us of Sinatra.
ANGIE DICKINSON: No, I love that. // That's the greatest shot maybe ever of Frank. That's how he was. //
MO ROCCA: And when he walked in a room?
ANGIE DICKINSON" Oh, yeah, it was magic.
